Lock down has proved a strange opportunity for some deep thinking. I have spent a lot of time testing glazes and finding new approaches to making. I have been working with porcelain and a black clay. You can see some results on my Instagram page.

In my workshops I aim to broaden your consciousness and change your perception of everyday objects. Together we will: examine the energies carried by objects which can offer nourishment to enrich our daily lives work with clay to make vessels that fit our hands and nourish us explore the use of clay as a healing medium
When circumstances allow classes will resume. Thursday morning: 10.30 to 12.30pm Thursday evening: 7.30 to 9.30pm My role as a teacher is to take a spark of enthusiasm and turn it into a roaring passion. I have over 50 years of making evolved a 6 step introduction to working with clay.

During our visit to Geoffrey’s pottery, I was completely taken by the overwhelming atmosphere, the earthy smell and all the wonderfully delicate-looking pieces of pottery, each of which seemed to me like a separate little individual that wanted to be appreciated in all its beauty. I could have spent hours here to marvel at every single vessel and vases, whose gleaming glazes from deep blue to bright red, warm yellow to down-to-earth brown seemed like small, unique paintings to me.
